CLASSIC BALKAN TOURS

KOSOVO - MACEDONIA - ALBANIA - MONTENEGRO - CROATIA - BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA - SERBIA

	DAY 1: PRISHTINA 

Arrival in Prishtina. At the airport, meet and greet with local throughout guide. Start with a half day sightseeing of the city: Clock Tower, Fatih Sultan mosque, National Library, Sultan Murat I tomb, Gracanica monastery. Dinner. Hotel Overnight.

	DAY 2: PRISHTINA – SKOPJE 

After the breakfast, visit Marble Cave, a short tour in the 1 km long cave located near Prishtina. Departure for Skopje, the largest city and capital of Macedonia. Arrival in Skopje, followed by a sightseeing tour of the city. The tour starts from the Citadel, from where you have an excellent panoramic view of the city centre, followed by a visit to “Mustafa Pasha“ Mosque from the 15th century, and entering the second largest Turkish bazaar on the Balkan. The tour continues to the central city square, where the dominant site is Alexander the Great fountain. Walk through Macedonia Street, towards the old Railway Station, a witness of the 1963 earthquake. Dinner. Hotel Overnight.

	DAY 3: SKOPJE – TETOVO – OHRID 

After the breakfast, we leave for Ohrid. First is Tetovo, where we will visit the unique Painted Mosque from the 15th century, and Arabati Baba Tekke. Tour continues to Ohrid. Arrival and start with sightseeing of Ohrid Old City (UNESCO site): St Sophia Cathedral, Antic Theatre, Samoil Fortress, Plaoshnik Complex, St. Jovan Kaneo Church and Kaneo angler village. Dinner. Hotel Overnight. 

	DAY 4: OHRID – TIRANA

Hotel breakfast. A visit to Ohrid port, where we embark on a one hour cruise of Ohrid Lake. Afterwards, heading to the city of Tirana, the capital of Albania. Arrival in Tirana and check in at the hotel, followed by a half day sightseeing of the city and visit of the biggest attractions, like Skanderbeg Square, Skanderbeg Statue, “Et’hem Bey“Mosque, The Clock Tower. Dinner. Hotel Overnight.

	DAY 5: TIRANA – BUDVA – KOTOR – DUBROVNIK 

After breakfast, we head to Budva, the old Mediterranean port, surrounded by an impressive city wall built by the Republic of Venice. Arrival in Budva and sightseeing of the city with the Venetian influenced remains that are dominant among the architectural influences. Afterwards, we visit the Bay of Kotor, one of the most indented parts of the Adriatic Sea, which is sometimes called the southern-most fjord in Europe. The Natural and Culturo-Historical Region of Kotor is a World Heritage Site. After sightseeing, proceed towards Dubrovnik. Arrival in Dubrovnik, Hotel Overnight.

	DAY 6: DUBROVNIK

After breakfast, start with a full day sightseeing of Dubrovnik. We will explore the finest sites of the Old Walled City. Walking through the old town, we will see the Franciscan Monastery with Europe’s third oldest pharmacy, the Rector’s Palace and the Cathedral. Free afternoon. Hotel Overnight.

	DAY 7: DUBROVNIK – POCHITELJ – MOSTAR

After the breakfast, we make our way to Pochitelj, a small town in the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the left bank of the river Neretva. Experience the unique architecture of the town that was an administrative centre of governance for the region. Continue to Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the city with fascinating history, beautiful architecture and natural setting in a valley on the Neretva riverbanks. Arrival and start of sightseeing tour. Visit the Old Bridge (UNESCO World heritage), Bey’s Mosque, Oriental bazaar and Turkish house. Hotel Overnight in Mostar.

	DAY 8 MOSTAR – KONJIC – SARAJEVO 

After breakfast, we head to Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Half way to Sarajevo, we stop in the beautiful small town of Konjic on the river Neretva. Short sightseeing of the town, after which we continue our way to Sarajevo. Arrival and start of sightseeing tour. Visit to Bascarsija, the old town with cobbled streets, numerous mosques and oriental shops, the Latin Bridge where the assassination of Franz Ferdinand took place, Morića Han, the only preserved style inn in Sarajevo and much more. Hotel Overnight.

	DAY 9: SARAJEVO – VISEGRAD (280km) - BELGRADE

After breakfast, heading to Vishegrad, Visit Ottoman-era Mehmed Pasha Sokolovic Bridge, a UNESCO world heritage site, which was popularized by Nobel Prize winning author Ivo Andric in his novel "The Bridge on the Drina". Continue our way in Serbia with a stop at Mokra Gora, with panoramic tourist train tour of Shargan Eight. Tour continues to Serbia`s capital and the second biggest city in the Balkans - Belgrade. Dinner. Hotel Overnight. 

	DAY 10: BELGRADE 

After breakfast, we start with the sightseeing tour:  Belgrade Castle, Clock Tower, Nebojsha Tower, Mehmet Pasha Fountain, St. Sava Cathedral, Terazije Square, Usche - where Sava river meets the Danube river, Knez Mihajlova pedestrian street. Free time until airport transfer. Departure.
